Assessor Mark Vanderpool (R)
Montezuma County Assessor
Mark Vanderpool has been involved with property assessment, appraisal, and real estate for over 35 years. His focus has been on commercial properties throughout most of that time. As assessor, his prime goals are to annually create equitable assessments and to operate a “taxpayer friendly” office. The entire assessor’s office enjoys the interaction with taxpayers and he sincerely believes that the vast majority of taxpayers who contact the office are satisfied with the service and information they receive.
Mark and his wife have 5 children and 4 grandchildren. Two of their sons currently serve in the military. “We have been blessed with a wonderful family,” Mark says. “We are thrilled to live and work in Montezuma County and cherish each day in this beautiful place.”
